For those looking for somewhere special to host this year's Christmas party in London, let us introduce Ayllu - a Peruvian-Japanese restaurant with stylish interiors and a stand-out setting. Ayllu is based in Paddington, just a short walk from the station and easily accessible from the local area and all over London, too.
The restaurant's concept was created as a homage to the Ayllu community of the Inca Empire. The Ayllu lived, worked and ate together as a family and shared everything; their belongings, shelter and especially their food, eating together in group meal times. Inspired by the Incan civilisation, Ayllu aims to bring together friends and family, encouraging them to take the time to break bread and share an experience.
As a nod to this, the menu consists of innovative small plates, designed for the whole table to share. While the restaurant is loyal to traditional Peruvian flavours, you'll also see Japanese influences, creating unique flavour combinations that we're sure will wow your colleagues.
There are a variety of menus available including the a la carte and tasting menus. In terms of the kinds of dishes you might expect, we like the sound of one of the tasting menus which starts with guacamole, followed by a ceviche selection, duo of oysters and tuna tacos. Then there's the beef tataki, unagi roll, salmon cazuela and peruvian bbq, finished finally with a Chef's choice dessert.
The team are very happy to welcome private dining bookings and advise getting in touch to discuss your wants and needs. Whether you'd like to take over the entire restaurant, or just part of it, the team can help you plan and configure the space, as well as work out the best menu for you.
Of course, no Christmas party is complete without a selection of delicious cocktails, and so you'll be pleased to hear that Ayllu specialises in imaginative, detail orientated drinks inspired by the world over.
