Tudor Barn is a stunning historical gastropub and wedding venue located in South East London, Eltham, that dates back to 1525. Surrounded by thirteen acres of parkland and a medieval moat, it’s a stunning location for a celebration and it’s hard to believe that central London is a mere train ride away. With the capability to host parties of up to 300 people, this 16th-century venue is a true hidden gem in Royal Greenwich.
This exclusive wedding venue offers charm by the boat-load and is licensed to host ceremonies if you’re keen to keep everything under one roof. Hire of the venue includes use of the entire venue from 10am until midnight, including the Tudor gallery, gastropub, front lawn and moat terrace. Ceremonies take place in one of its three ceremony locations, for between 50-180 guests, with the main Tudor gallery boasting authentic wooden beams and a selection of decorations and furniture available with hire.
There are also two large outdoor spaces which are great for photo opportunities and alfresco drinks receptions. Couples are also assigned a dedicated events team upon booking to help you with planning, with scheduled private meetings to discuss all the finer details. Another bonus is that things like an easel, cake stand, cake knife, post box, seasonal flowers, two licensed bars and a door host are all provided by the venue.
The food and drink are as personal as the day itself, which is why Tudor Barn offers a minimum spend for each day so you can create your own personalised package (rather than purchasing a set offering). Catering options include three-course wedding breakfasts, BBQ buffets, hog roasts, finger buffets and more. There are also traditional drinks options for a reception, wedding breakfast and toast drink.
Private parking is available within walking distance from the barn, and the venue is five minutes away from Eltham station if you're travelling by train.
