The Old Rectory is an idyllic country house located in the heart of scenic Berkshire, with history that reaches back to the 1600s. Built in the 17th century, this stunning building has retained many of its period features including huge sash windows, rich-toned brick work and a half-moon wing.
Today, it's a dream wedding venue for both locals and those travelling in from further afield. Couples can takeover the house for the entirity of the weekend, gaining exclusive use with plenty of room to get ready on the morning of the big day at the Courtyard Lodge. Optimised for your glam squad, in this cosy accomodation you'll find a dressing area, plenty of mirrors and complimentary tea and coffee.
You don't have far to go to tie the knot as The Old Rectory is fully licensed for civil weddings and civil
partnerships, held in the beautiful Gala Hall, which has seating for up to 78 guests. Cream-toned walls give way to a striking fireplace which can be beautifully decorated with flowers and foliage - or however you'd like!
When it's time to raise a glass, couples and their guests will be guided to the purpose-built Orangery. Gorgeous at any time of year, let the evening sun flood the space - which benefits from floor-to-ceiling windows - during the summer, or watch the leaves turn orange outside in the autumn. The Orangery has capacity for up to 96 people and looks wonderful in a spectrum of decor, whether you're all about neutral colours and minimalist styling, or a super romantic, maximalist look.
The events team have created a wedding package to make planning your day just that bit easier, which you're welcome to look through online. Here, you'll find details such as incuding decor such as vintage-style chairs, round tables, festoon lighting and garden furniture, as well as bespoke catering options and use of the in-house, fully-stocked bar.
