Stanley House is a 30-bedroom boutique hotel in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire. It’s split across a 17th century manor house and its accompanying outbuildings and the contemporary Woodlands building. Set in 54 acres of green, quintessentially English countryside, its hilltop location means it also offers miles of uninterrupted views across the valley and beyond.
Weddings at Stanley House can be adapted to suit everything from a sprawling country gathering to an intimate gathering of just close friends and loved ones. The 400 year old manor house forms the centrepiece of the big day, with its neighbouring gardens equally useful for both a drinks reception and photos. Those opting for a civil ceremony can spend the whole day on-site and have their pick of the two licensed function suites.
Not only is there a wedding team to guide you through each aspect of your big day, but there’s also a team of chefs to help select the food. The wedding breakfast options have a distinctly British feel, prioritising local ingredients wherever possible and appropriate. Starters include a goat’s cheese and apricot tart with hot honey, while mains are headlined by a refined take on a Sunday roast. For dessert, there’s the likes of dark chocolate delice and lemon tart.
Stanley House also caters for other kinds of special occasions. These are also supervised and planned by a specialist team and there’s three rooms to choose from, ranging from 30 to 180 capacity. Business meetings can also be held at the hotel, as well as private dining.
The spa is housed in the Woodlands building and is open to both guests and visitors. Its large glass front offers great views of the surrounding countryside, and there’s also a spa lunch menu. Moreton Aesthetics is on hand to offer a range of facial aesthetics, medical grade skin care and hair loss therapy.
