Looking at planning a Cotswolds wedding? We don't blame you! Known as one of the most beautiful regions of the UK, its famous, gold-toned villages could be straight from the pages of a story book, and make for an idyllic backdrop for a fairytale wedding.
Somewhere that knows this, and absolutely lives up to the fantasy, is award-winning wedding venue and Tudor house, Owlpen Manor. This beautiful, listed building is snuggled in the valley of Stroud and offers its guests exclusive three-day access to ensure the wedding of your dreams comes off without a hitch.
The family-run team invite you to enjoy a civil ceremony for up to 50 guests when held within The Great Hall, 100 guests within the historic Cyder Barn and, if the weather allows, 150 guests in the pretty, manicured gardens outside. If you'd like to get married in a church, you'll be pleased to know there's a historic church close by, but you'll need to organise this beforehand with the local parish.
Owlpen Manor boasts a selection of spaces across the site, all of which are for your exclusive use. The aforementioned Cyder Barn is actually the oldest licensed wedding barn in the Cotswolds, with a history going back to 1446. This is the perfect place to start your wedding day with a beautiful ceremony, or ideal for smaller gatherings, with the capacity to host a wedding breakfast for up to 50 people.
The Pole Barn is a contemporary, custom-built extension with space for up to 120 people seated. This is a popular wedding breakfast choice and comes with an open fire and underfloor heating. With its arched beams and natural colour palette, it's a sophisticated and atmospheric place to spend the best day of your life.
Owlpen Manor also offers onsite accommodation for your friends and family. Across the estate, you'll find nine cottages with capacity for up to 40 people in total, so you really can make a real weekend of it if you want to.
