Mercure Gloucester Bowden Hall Hotel is a hotel and wedding venue in Upton St Leonards, Gloucestershire, just four miles from Gloucester railway station and five from the city’s famous cathedral. Up to 200 guests can attend and the hotel is licensed to conduct civil ceremonies. Several wedding packages are on offer, all of which include a three course set wedding breakfast, chair covers and sashes, evening buffet food and complimentary use of the bridal suite. Bowden Hall also caters for weddings year round, offering both a Twilight Wedding and Winter Wonderland package, the former ideal for bathing golden hour light as you take your first photos as a married couple. More intimate occasions are equally as welcome and typically covered by the Little Big Wedding package. This ensures a paired back guestlist is still met with grandeur and planned and executed in the same way as all other wedding packages.
The wedding breakfast can be adapted to suit a huge range of dishes, and is usually preceded by canapes and a drinks reception on arrival. An evening buffet is the perfect way to ensure the celebrations continue long into the night. This can either be light finger food or something more hearty, such as sausage and bacon baps with chips.
