About Humble Grape Fleet Street

For those dreaming of a wedding in the heart of London, have you considered historic Fleet Street? Long known as the centre of the British press and a cornucopia of stunning architecture, this street’s rich legacy makes for a meaningful backdrop for a wedding celebration, blending both old-world charm with a cosmopolitan energy.

And, it's here that you'll find Humble Grape. Housed in the crypt of St. Bride’s Church, a masterpiece designed by Sir Christopher Wren, Humble Grape Fleet Street offers an unforgettable venue filled with architectural splendour. The crypt itself dates back to the 12th century, featuring stunning vaulted ceilings, rugged brick walls, and stone arches that create a romantic, atmospheric setting perfect for a wedding reception. The venue’s intimate and unique layout make this a one-in-a-million place to hold your special day, sure to wow your guests.

The ambience at Humble Grape Fleet Street is both rustic and refined, with candlelit tables, warm lighting, and natural materials, setting the stage for a sophisticated and relaxed celebration. The restaurant’s focus on bringing people together over food and wine makes it a perfect match for weddings, where shared meals and memorable toasts are at the heart of the day.

Couples passionate about wine will be particularly drawn to Humble Grape’s concept. With over 400 wines on the list, all sourced from independent vineyards, wine plays a central role in the experience – you could even host a group wine tasting session which the in-house team are all too happy to do. Expertly paired with seasonal dishes, the food and wine offerings elevate any celebration, ensuring guests enjoy an unforgettable culinary experience while coming together to honour your love. For wine lovers, Humble Grape Fleet Street provides the perfect setting to toast their new chapter - quite literally!

Our Fleet Street wedding venue is set in the vaults of the historic St Bride’s Church, so it's a pretty special place to host in! (Rumour has it the first wedding cake was designed on the spire of the church - we reckon this is a pretty good sign!) Quirky and comfy the beautiful ancient architecture, wooden furniture and cork walls provide the perfect backdrop for your unique City wedding. Opt for a smaller dinner or reception in our private event space or hire the entire venue for the ultimate party.

Testimonials For Humble Grape Fleet Street

We could not have asked for a better wedding experience!SEPTEMBER, 2023

We could not have asked for a better wedding experience with Humble Grape. The communication in the run up to the day was excellent; nothing was ever too much. We were able to make sure that the day worked for our taste but also our finances. The day itself was executed with precision timing and there was never an empty glass. The food was spectacular and we loved being able to tailor our food and wine for our guests. We had so many compliments on our wedding breakfast! The venue worked fantastically well; it gave us an elegant drinks reception, an intimate wedding breakfast where all could see and hear the speeches, and a bustling dance floor all in one. It was a venue that catered both to our friends who wanted to dance their socks off and our grandparents who wanted to enjoy a glass of wine and chat. We loved that, despite the inevitable chaos that such a large event brought, the Humble Grape team never left me or my husband without a drink in hand and regularly checked that we had everything we needed. I can honestly say that we had the most wonderful day and it was in no small part thanks to the Humble Grape team. We love that we can always pop in for drinks or dinner at somewhere that has such a special place in our hearts
