For a building that started its life as a wedding present in the 17th century, it seems only right that Eyam Hall is now used to host other couple’s special days for years to come. Situated in the heart of the Peak District, it offers various options for ceremony style and location, from relaxed outdoor ceremonies in the summer, to intimate indoor settings during the winter.
For those who have always hoped to have an outdoor wedding, there is a pavilion on the edge of the croquet lawn that makes for the perfect setting sitting amongst nature, with the walled garden perfect for post ceremony drinks. Alternatively if you’re looking to invite 60 guests or over, this walled garden space can also be used to hold the ceremony in one of the large marquees.
If you don’t trust the English weather, or you’d rather say your ‘I do’s’ within the comfort of a building, then the Flagged Hall could be the perfect place to get together with your nearest and dearest. Whether you get married during the summer months and have the sun shining through the window, or during the winter so that you can get cosy with a roaring in the background, the Flagged Hall promises to create a magical backdrop no matter the season.
Aside from the plethora of ceremony locations available, there’s also some other exciting extras such as the stunning dressing room for the bridal team, and even a garden pub that you can head to to calm those pre ceremony nerves with a pint. It’s not quite as big as your average local, but makes for the perfect place for six to eight of you to relax for an hour or two before the ceremony.
