Eastington Park is an exclusive-hire wedding venue on the outskirts of Stonehouse in Gloucestershire. It was built in 1815 by Henry Hicks, a local clothier and mill owner. Members of the four subsequent families that called the now Grade II listed stone country house home were often well connected in society, meaning Eastington has played host to the likes of W.G. Grace and Edward Jenner. The de Lisle Bush family were the last to live there, selling the property to the local council in 1946, who then used it as a nursing home for the next 70 years. Since 2013 Eastington has operated as an award-winning wedding venue, with its typically English country manor splendour providing the ideal backdrop to the big day.
Those marrying at Eastington have exclusive use of the house and its grounds from midday on the big day until 10am the following morning combined with a complimentary stay in the honeymoon suite. The venue is licensed to conduct civil ceremonies, with these typically taking place in the grand ballroom or outdoors in the garden’s pergola, or the local church is just a short walk away. Once your chosen type of ceremony is over, move onto a photoshoot in the green rolling grounds. The house itself provides just as many photo opportunities, most notably on or below the ornately decorated stone spiral staircase that runs down its centre and has been a much loved feature for generations.
All weddings are planned alongside a dedicated member of Eastington’s dedicated planning team, who help arrange everything from large 250 guest-strong occasions to more intimate affairs. Catering is handled by Berry Blue, with all booked couples offered a complimentary food tasting before deciding on their menu. An example three course menu could be glazed goats cheese to start, followed by braised beef and then salted chocolate tarts. Evening food typically takes buffet form, such as mini fish and chips.
