Dewsall Court is a wedding venue near Hereford in Herefordshire. Originally a Georgian manor house, its 12 acres of land contains everything you need to throw the dream country wedding. Celebrations are typically a three day affair. The party arrives and is greeted by the House Host, a dedicated member of the team who is always on hand to ensure any stay and wedding runs seamlessly. The house’s decor harks back to its Georgian roots, including many period features and pieces of furniture.
After the arrival meal, guests and the couple can retreat to their rooms. These have been faithfully restored to their past glory and offer views over the surrounding rolling countryside. The Dewsall Bridal suite is the perfect place for the bridal party to get ready, with guests also welcome to enjoy a morning’s croquet or clay pigeon shooting.
Dewsall is both licensed for civil ceremonies and has a church on-site. Church weddings can also take place on the lawn outside, perfect for the summer months. Outside of this, there’s another nine places within the grounds where ceremonies take place, ranging from intimate rooms in the house to secluded spots within the gardens. The West Lawn and The Lake Field are two standout outdoor ceremony spots. The former overlooks the stunning black mountains and Herefordshire hills, while the latter maximises the natural beauty of Dewsall’s lake and its accompanying willow tree.
Locations for hosting the wedding breakfast are equally as plentiful. All menus are designed alongside the team of in-house chefs and can be adapted to suit the exact needs of the happy couple. Once the wedding breakfast is finished and the reception is nearing what looks like its end, Dewsall has a trick up its sleeve. The house’s cellar has been converted into an after party den, complete with a bar, disco lights and sound system, perfect for keeping the party going into the early hours.
