Colwall Park is a hotel and wedding venue in Colwall, a peaceful rural village in the Malvern Hills in Worcestershire. It was originally built in 1904 to service a long since closed down racecourse and uses the mock tudor white exterior with black timber style that was so popular at the time. The hotel retains a huge amount of this early Edwardian charm and combines with modern luxuries, resulting in a relaxing retreat that is perfect for celebrating the big day.
The hotel caters for weddings of most sizes. Its civil ceremonies licence means the whole day can take place under one roof. The Ceremony Room is bright and airy, perfectly blending its original turn of the century design with contemporary touches. This holds up to 70 guests. There’s also the Little Hampton and Hampton rooms. The former houses up to 24 guests, so is ideal for smaller weddings. The latter seats up to 80 and contains the original Edwardian windows and has an adjoining bar. A member of the hotel’s dedicated events team will always be on hand to ensure these rooms are decorated and laid out to the couple’s exact preferences.
Once the ceremony is over, the function rooms are quickly converted to host the wedding breakfast. The menu for this vital part of the big day is designed alongside the hotel’s kitchen team. As such, it can be customised to suit nearly all tastes, whether that’s the traditional three course sit down meal or something more contemporary.
Guests and the couple can stay over the night before and after the wedding in one of Colwall Park’s 22 individually decorated rooms. The bridal suite is included in all wedding packages for a great place both to spend the first night as a married couple and for the bridal party to get ready before the ceremony.
