If you’ve always imagined your wedding would be a grand occasion, venues don’t come much more grand than 116 Pall Mall. This impressive Grade-I listed Georgian mansion was built on the site of the former Royal Palace, and speaking of palaces, you’re just a stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace itself. Not only is this a truly regal location to have a wedding, it’s also easily accessible from both within and outside London.
As you walk in, you’re greeted by a stunning 15 ft Regency chandelier - a gift to the venue from George IV - and a sweeping staircase that ascends this huge venue. 116 Pall Mall boasts five floors of unique event spaces, and the venue offers everything from individual room hire for receptions to exclusive hire of the whole venue, catering for small civil ceremonies all the way up to huge family gatherings.
The venue has capacity for up to 1,000 guests among its many rooms, and the largest suite - The Nash - can host up to 250 seated guests for a beautiful ceremony amongst its royal portraits, floor to ceiling windows and glittering chandelier. As you’d expect from this style of venue, many of the rooms feature palatial high ceilings and large windows, so even smaller occasions have a wide range of stunning rooms to choose from. Among those many venues, The Carlton is also worth a special mention as a particularly opulent space, with huge Ionic columns and gold leaf walls adding to the spectacle and luxury of your occasion.
Food, meanwhile, is handled by respected caterer Searcys, who have a history catering for royalty and weddings that stretches back over 175 years. Their ethos is unashamedly British, with particular emphasis on quality and seasonality. Dishes include twice baked cheese souffle with candied walnuts, apple and chicory salad, and roast pork medallions with savoy cabbage, carrot puree and apple cider glaze.
Weddings at 116 Pall Mall also get a dedicated wedding planner who will take care of every detail large and small, making sure your special day goes exactly as planned.
