The Grade-II listed London Transport Museum is a truly unique setting for a Christmas party. The two-storey venue originally housed a Victorian flower market but is now home to over 300,000 transport artefacts. Thanks to its proximity to Covent Garden and Leicester Square tube, it is easily accessible from all parts of London. This historic venue enables you and your guests to celebrate Christmas steeped in London’s iconic transport history, in the heart of the capital.
There are multiple spaces to choose from, each with its own unique character: the Cubic Theatre, Museum Galleries and Canteen. The Cubic Theatre could be the ideal place for a Christmas film screening for you and up to 88 guests, courtesy of its high-spec short-throw projector and a DCP/DCI projector with true 4k resolution and Dolby Digital surround sound. The Cubic Theatre can be booked in conjunction with the adjoining foyer, perfect for cocktail receptions. The in-house technical team are bookable too and will ensure everything goes off without a hitch.
The Museum Galleries provide an excellent setting for an extravagant Christmas banquet with up to 110 seated guests, or a standing party of up to 310. Guests enter through the World City Walkway and become immersed in Lonon’s rich transport history, including the very first Met Line carriage. London Transport Museum has a list of recommended caterers to choose from, as well as recommended suppliers for AV, lighting and entertainment.
Finally, the more modest Canteen upstairs is best suited to smaller events (although it can be booked in conjunction with the Cubic Theatre). Boasting excellent views of the Covent Garden Piazza and flooded with natural light, this space is perfectly suited to more informal gatherings and receptions.
For large events, the venue can be booked in its entirety, including the Museum Galleries, Cubic Theatre and foyer and The Canteen.
