Zoku is a Japanese bar located close to Chinatown and Leicester Square. Zoku is a downstairs late night bar which makes up part of the Yatay restaurant and bar, which sits above. In the upstairs restaurant, Yatay, you will find a menu inspired by Japanese street food, serving a selection of sharing plates, wines and sake. Downstairs in Zoku you will find a menu of cocktails, Japanese highballs and spirits. Zoku is open until late, playing music from guest DJ’s until 2am. Zoku is a modern and industrial looking underground bar which has a large seated bar area.
The upstairs menu has a selection of authentic Yakitori dishes, skewers and sharing plates to choose from including dishes such as beef tartare served with pepper and pine nuts and crispy potatoes served with tonkatsu and shiso mayo. Larger dishes include a wagyu beef ribeye and a gilt head bream served with yuzu better and burnt lime.
Zoku has a large cocktails, beer, wine and sake menu available. When it comes to cocktails, perhaps you’ll go for a Tokyo Drifter made with haku vodka, toasted sesame and shitake, or maybe you'll try a Sakazuki Gold which is a cocktail made with roku gin, yuzu, matcha and umeshu. Wines include a house white and red, plus a number of European wines, and champagne by the glass or bottle.
Zoku is in a central London location, just off ChinaTown, you are within easy reach of many popular areas of the city such as Covent Garden and Leicester Square. Zoku is also very close to the Apollo Theatre and Her Majesty’s Theatre, as well as being within easy reach of The National Gallery and the Palace Theatre. Zoku is approximately a five minute walk from Piccadilly Circus underground stop, and a 5 minute walk from Leicester Square underground stop.
