Last week, some colleagues & I went for a Friday lunch at the Paddington outpost. Zizzi is usually reliable in the food area- nothing wow, but nothing to spoil your day either. Solid Italian fare.
The ambiance is about as work-lunchy as it gets, but then again we were part of that. Noisy & hard to hear people, it was buzzy enough. Sounds of plates & glasses falling punctuated the lunch.
Service- bless they tried, but not hard enough. When we mentioned they forgot our starters,. they went to return our main dishes to the kitchen- which happened to be within eyesight. We then cancelled our starters, but the mains were then a bit colder from sitting out. They were happy to reheat though one of our dishes.
All in all, a solid choice for a 1 hour lunch in Sheldon square- maybe not as trendy as Union bar, but for Italian pizza, safe bet.
