Windows Restaurant is located in the Carlton George hotel in Glasgow, and offers you the chance to enjoy a delicious dining experience with great views across the city. The a la carte menu is served from 12.30pm, and includes traditional favourites with a Scottish twist.
Windows starters include a soup of the day with crusty bread, and battered haggis slice on pea shoots, served with a peppercorn sauce, and goat's cheese mousse served on a crusty bloomer and finished with peppadew peppers. From the grill you can enjoy a vegan Moving Mountains burger with lettuce, tomato, red onion and hand cut chips, or a ribeye steak with roasted tomatoes and mushrooms. Main dishes include the rigatoni romano with a homemade sauce, and garlic and herb chicken with West Calder haggis, new potatoes and a whisky sauce. The rustic classic pizza is a combination of oregano infused Barrel & Stone tomato sauce and creamy fior di latte mozzarella, for a truly scrumptious taste.
Treat yourself to one of the delicious cocktails, such as the Espresso Martini with Absolut vodka, coffee liqueur and espresso, or a French Martini with Absolut vodka, creme de cassis and pineapple juice. For dessert, there's a sticky toffee pudding served with butterscotch sauce and traditional Arran ice cream, and a lemon and honey cheesecake with fresh berries and fruit coulis. Stop by Windows for one of their very popular afternoon teas, which includes a savoury selection of cheese wraps, tuna mayonnaise sandwiches and mini ham and tomato brioche rolls. There are freshly baked scones with chantilly cream and jam, and plenty of sweet treats, including sweet choux buns drizzled with chocolate, tiffin bites, lemon drizzle cake and strawberry tarts.
