Urban Greens is the incredible dream come true from three friends who met at university, and bonded over the love of food. They wanted to create a space where people could enjoy good, honest food that was really healthy, yet delicious, and filling. Combining the flavours of their childhoods, individual culinary experiences and cultures, Urban Greens began as a conversation and has become a phenomenal success.
There are various bowls to choose from, some vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and dairy free. Beets by Urban is the first on the menu, and contains quinoa, beet hummus, avocado, blanched broccoli, pea shoots, ginger pickled carrots, fresh parsley and toasted seeds with a mango spring onion dressing. The veggie Caesar is a twist on the classic, with red rice, cajun spiced tempeh, shredded kale, cherry tomatoes, parmesan, pickled onions and toasted hazelnuts, and for those who love a spicy kick, the Seoul chicken is a great option – British free range chicken tossed with sesame marinated glass noodles, kimchi, shredded kale, red pepper, fresh coriander and toasted cashews, and drizzled in a gochujang miso.
Urban Greens totally believe in mastering their trade, which is why you will only find salad here, rather than various dishes that aren’t at the top of their game. It's not an everyday salad you'll enjoy here, but one that's exceptional – they care about the environment, source their ingredients carefully, hand select, pickle and massage, and limit their carbon emissions.
