I have always been proud of my local community and the small businesses within the High Peak and this was the inspiration behind my labels. I used a local artist called Clare Allan (clareallanart.com) to bring both personal and also specific memories about New Mills to life and show everyone what we’re all about! After a lot of researching and test batching I finally came up with 4 solid beers and the next step was finding a place to go big!
My sister & brother in law run a dairy farm just out side of New Mills, called Thornsett Fields Farms. After months of waiting on planning permission, I was finally given the go ahead to bring an old, disused hay bail barn back to life by turning it into my new Brewery. This process of turning something old into something new encouraged me to consider other ways to reduce waste and be as sustainable and eco friendly as possible. I am therefore really proud to say that my brewery is completely off grid as it is ran solely on a combination of renewable energy sources - solar and gas. Along side this, all of my beer is produced with the natural spring water than runs through the farm.
