Rammed to the rafters with locals who have been coming here since it started plying its trade some 20 years ago, this roadside pub in a grubby part of industrialised Cambridge still serves up cheap
and filling Thai dishes worth braving the journey for. The menu, with its pad thais, green curries and stir-fries, won’t cause any surprises and the quality of the cooking divides opinion –
although the number of repeat visitors (including a healthy smattering of Asian faces) suggests that you’ll probably love it. Old pub tables and a traditional bar with Charles Wells ales on tap are
reminders that this is first and foremost a pub that just happens to do a good line in Thai food. Get there early if you haven’t booked, or be prepared to hang around with the drinkers.
