About

The Weir has the most beautiful location overlooking a picturesque fishing lake, and so is home to some incredible wildlife. The perfect place to grab lunch, a snack or refreshing drink whilst soaking in the scenery, The Weir is the perfect place to visit with friends, young children and families. The food here is cooked in house using the very freshest ingredients available, which are usually sourced from local suppliers. Breakfast is served until noon each day, and then the menu changes. You can choose to pop in for a freshly ground coffee or enjoy a warm drink by the log fire during the cold months.

For breakfast, enjoy the full Weir breakfast with two Cornish handmade pork sausages, two “The Cornish Bacon Company” smoked bacon rashers, hogs’ pudding, big mushroom, Cornish sea salt baked tomato, baked beans, hash browns, sourdough toast and a St Ewe egg done your way. If sweet is more your thing, enjoy some toasted Cornish sourdough with Cornish butter and black bee honeycomb. Yummy!

In the evening, try a selection of snack plates like the crispy pulled brisket and fried onion dumplings with Korean mayonnaise, the smoked salamanca olives and sticky chilli crispy shrimp pot. Small plates include the cured Cornish meat platter and home cherrywood smoked sea caught salmon, along with the chicken liver and mushroom pate. Main plates, here regarded as large plates, include the green goan spiced aubergine curry with chickpea, beetroot parsley pakora, coconut rice and flatbread, and the 12 hour crispy pork belly with red cabbage, potato cake, pork crackling puff, black pudding jam and local cider reduction. For your sweet, we'd recommend trying the baked lemon curd and meringue tart with lemon ice cream, pineapple and mint salsa and a strawberry crack.
