The Thatch is a welcoming British pub and inn set on the North Devon Coastline amidst the beautiful surroundings of Croyde Bay. The Thatch serves a range of British classics and pub favourites from their idyllic village pub, which sits on the doorstep of some of the most beautiful cliff tops and harbours in Devon.
The thatch has a lunch and dinner menu. The lunch menu features dishes such as The Thatch pork pie ploughman’s and traditional fish and chips. There is also a chef’s special sandwich of the day made using local produce, and a selection of burgers and nachos. All burgers are made using 100% prime British beef steak, and all other beef has been locally hand reared by farmer Chris Lerwill of Waytown Farm. All fish is sustainably sourced from day boats based on the coast of South Devon.
The evening menu features many house classics such as steak and ale pie served with seasonal veg and chips, and deep fried wholetail scampi served with chips and homemade tartare sauce. You will also find a vegan curry, Caesar salad and a homemade hot chilli.
There is also a good children’s menu which serves many favourites such as crispy coated chicken fillet, veggie sausages, and fish fingers. There is also a kid’s crunch platter of carrot, celery sticks, tortilla chips, apple and hummus.
The dessert menu has many tempting looking dishes such as homemade banoffee pie made with fresh cream, biscuit and toffee, and a homemade sticky toffee pudding made using golden toffee sponge, toffee sauce, and a choice of clotted cream, ice cream or custard.
You will find a range of indoor and outdoor seating at The Thatch, as well as a good range of beer, wine, spirits and soft drinks. There is also tea, coffee and a special hot chocolate served with whipped cream, marshmallows strawberry and a flake.
