It's ‘standing room only' inside this micro-boozer on the edge of Borough Market, which is why drinkers often spill out onto the terrace and street outside. With 130 bottled beers supplementing 10 draught ales and lagers at any one time, this is one of London's most impressive, all-round selections under one roof – so repeat visits will be required to do it justice. Brews are sourced from far and wide, with the likes of Norwegian Nøgne Ø or Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier from Germany alongside beers from these shores. The line-up changes from day to day, but knowledgeable staff will keep you informed about the latest offerings. Basic bar ballast includes Mrs King's excellent pork pies and suchlike. Regular festivals are a feature of the place, and a visit to the owners’ Utobeer market stall is a must.
