The Pigs Nose Inn is a charming English pub that spills out character, and holds the unique distinction of being Devon's southernmost independent live music venue. Found in the picturesque village of East Prawle, not far from Kingsbridge, this charming pub offers delightful views of the village green, making it the perfect spot to bask in the warmth of summer while relishing a Ploughman's lunch or some of the hearty pub sandwiches. The history of this lovely pub is steeped in tradition, spanning more than three centuries. Once a Victorian hotel and a smugglers' inn, it played a part in storing the treasures salvaged from numerous shipwrecks along the coast. In the 1950s, it underwent a transformation into a local petrol station to cater to the growing number of cars in the village.
Around two decades ago, Peter, Lesley, and Joss took the reins of this beloved establishment. Prior to running the pub, Peter made a name for himself in the music industry. And now, what truly sets us apart is our vibrant live music scene. Monthly, they transform their adjoining venue room into a stage for an array of musical acts. Over the years, The Pigs Nose Inn has had the pleasure of hosting renowned performers like Atomic Kitten, Stanton Warriors, Lee Scratch Perry, Damon Albarn, The Animals, and The Boomtown Rats, among others. These nights are all about letting loose and dancing the night away to diverse styles of live music.
The menu showcases a delectable array of pub fare made from the freshest, highest-quality ingredients.
