About

The Old Mill carries the rich history of an operational 18th-century flour mill, a testament to work that continued until just after World War I. In 2020, a brilliant transformation took place, turning this historic mill into a beautiful spot of riverside peace and quiet, situated in the heart of the New Forest. Found near the charming town of Lymington, this pub offers easy access to the diverse attractions of the South Coast, including scenic walks, pretty beaches, shopping, and local points of interest. Proudly affiliated with the Upham Inns collection, renowned for its portfolio of idyllic pubs across Hampshire, Berkshire, Sussex, and Wiltshire, The Old Mill upholds to its high standards.

On the menu, small bites include beetroot falafel with harissa mayo, Cumberland sausage with mustard and pickled onion, dill marinated anchovies with crostini and padron peppers with spiced salt. Smaller plates include black bean tacos with spiced black beans, sweet potato, guacamole and pink onions, along with a venison and black pudding scotch egg and piccalilli mayo, and duck liver pate with pickles, red onion jam and toasted focaccia. Large plates are great for mains, and include the classic beer battered haddock and chips with minted pea puree and tartare sauce, along with a pan fried duck breast with dauphinoise potatoes, glazed carrots and turnips, wilted greens and a red wine jus.If you're a veggie, try the vegan mushroom, beetroot and chickpea burger with crispy veggies, lime and mint mayo and skin on fries, along with the aubergine fennel and sweet potato parmigiana with a side salad. On the side, enjoy bowls of truffle and parmesan fries, minted new potatoes and grilled Mediterranean vegetables.
