This modern Turkish restaurant aims to be the culinary ambassador of all things Anatolian and was borne out of an ambition to create the perfect place for family gatherings and friendly encounters. It serves up a variety of hot and cold mezze dishes, as well as meat, fish and vegetables cooked atop a roaring open grill.
The Mantl's team of chefs has created an eclectic menu with a good selection of dishes that cater to most dietary preferences. Traditional hot and cold starter dishes, such as ‘tutsulu koyun yogurdu’ (glazed figs with smoked sheep’s yoghurt, oak-cured beef, grape molasses and pistachio) and ‘okche’ (light puffs of courgette, seeds, feta and garlic yoghurt) can be ordered as sharing mezze or to ease you in before the main event.
All dishes from the mantl grill menu are cooked over hot coals and served with salad, so whether you opt for a chicken or lamb shish, pistachio lamb chops or a vegetable skewer, you can be sure of a heady, smoky taste. Be sure to save room for sweet treats like tahini soufflé with mastika ice cream or buffalo milk rice pudding.
