You can love or loathe the Richard Seifert-designed Sheraton Park Tower, but don’t rush past it in your haste to get to Harvey Nicks. This 17-storey concrete tower keeps its secret hidden away in the Knightsbridge Lounge, a lofty-ceilinged circular space with gorgeous trompe l’oeil ‘draped silk’ walls and an exquisite teardrop glass chandelier centrepiece. You can enjoy the room without committing to the full tea ritual by ordering desserts à la carte (perhaps a slice of New York cheesecake or a warm date sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce) along with a perfectly brewed cuppa from a choice of traditional black teas, Chinese and Japanese blends and tisanes. For the complete experience, however, there is also a traditional tea (£35 with a glass of Champagne) complete with scones, pastries and a selection of classic cakes.
