About

Located within The Park in Mawgan Porth – a self-catering holiday park moments away from the beach – The Kitchen by the Beach is a casual all-day café-cum-restaurant which serves a menu of simple but well-done dishes. Overseen by chef Michael Corbin, the kitchen prides itself on cooking family favourites with the odd twist. The relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant lends itself brilliantly to everything from casual coffees sat around the wood-burning stove to hearty Sunday roasts and reasonably priced romantic dinners.

The Kitchen by the Beach has been stylishly crafted from wood on the outside to blend in with the surrounding woodland and looks almost like a lodge of sorts. The inside of the restaurant feels bright and spacious thanks to its high ceilings and large windows. Tables are spaced out on the wooden floors and the walls are painted in oranges and blues. In one corner sits a counter-cum-bar while glass panels allow diners to see into the swimming pool next door.

Begin your day at The Kitchen by the Beach with breakfast options including American style pancakes and a full Cornish breakfast. Affordable lunch options include a steak pasty served with skinny chips, a smoked salmon and cucumber sandwich, and soup of the day. Head down in the evening to take advantage of the full menu which includes crowd-pleasers such as a burger of the day, and salt and pepper squid with saffron aioli, as well as a daily changing locally landed fish dish served with tomato and samphire sauce. Vegans are catered for too at The Kitchen by the Beach with dishes on the menu such as a bean burger with chilli jam and vegan cheese.

The restaurant serves a variety of hot drinks throughout the day, as well as alcoholic options including spirits, beer, and wine by the glass and bottle.
