Crafting the menus for The Jetty has been a true pleasure for Alex Aitken. Whilst you choose what to order, nibble on tempura prawns with a dipping sauce, some hot or cold oysters with shallot vin, or cockle popcorn coated in a spiced flour and crisply fried. Starters include the octopus carpaccio with spring onion, chilli and lime dressing, coriander and Keta Caviar, while mains include the mixed South Coast fish on the bone with caramelised fennel, tiger prawns, mixed shellfish mariniére, saffron and garlic aioli. If you want something truly indulgent, try the sole fillet stuffed with salmon mousse with caviar, Champagne beurre blanc, cucumber and crab salad and crushed potatoes.
