Another outpost of Caprice Holdings’ ever-expanding brand of Ivy restaurants, The Ivy Marlow Garden is the third spin-off to be lavished with the ‘Garden’ moniker. Based on Marlow’s charming High Street, The Ivy Marlow Garden serves the classic all-day menu which Ivy restaurants have become synonymous with, in a large and impressively colourful dining room. This makes it an incredibly fun place to come if you’re wanting to go out for a meal with a touch of class, without having to spend the earth.
The red brick façade of the restaurant, with a trademark green painted window looking right out over the street, blends in beautifully with the many shops and café on the High Street. This means that the restaurant feels incredibly understated until you head inside and are met with a wave of colour. A central skylight allows plenty of light into the open dining room which features a number of brightly coloured seats, modern art hanging on the walls, and a well-stocked golden bar shimmering at one end. As the name suggests, there is also a beautiful garden area out the back, where you can enjoy your food during the summer.
The all-day menu includes a huge variety of different options, with starters including roast pumpkin soup, to steak tartare. For main courses, expect big plates of classic Modern European dishes such as a signature shepherd’s pie and a traditional chicken Milanese. For those, who aren’t wanting anything too substantial, there’s a short selection of sandwiches also available on the menu. If you’re feeling like a dessert, options range from malted banana ice cream served with chocolate brownie, to Crème brûlée. There are a number of vegan and vegetarian options available for each course too.
When it comes to drinks, there’s everything from an extensive list of wines, to cocktails and The Ivy’s own beer.
