The Honest Lawyer dates all the way back in the Cockermouth history books to the Tudor period, when it served as the cells of the town’s old Court House. However, we promise that there will be no form of court to judge you on your next visit.
Even though the times of scarlet gowns and long wigs have disappeared, we have tried to maintain some of the values of the past. Artiness, eccentricity and a wilful withdrawal from the mainstream restaurants are all qualities that we are very proud of and strive to share with all of our customers.
