The Haywain is a warm and welcoming country pub serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The pub is located just outside the village of Little Bromley, just five minutes from the market town of Manningtree.
The pub is smart and traditional, with seating both indoors and outside. Breakfast and brunch is served from 9.30am to 12 noon. You will find a selection of breakfast rolls and waffles, as well as a full English or a full veggie breakfast. There is also a vegan breakfast, and plenty of coffee, tea and juice.
The Haywain menu has a good selection of starters, you will find an antipasti sharing board served with local breads, and other pub favourites such as ½ pint of prawns with citrus mayo, as well as olives, chicken and veggie dishes.Main courses include traditional pub favourites such as beer battered cod with chips, and homemade beef and ale pie. You will also find mussels, burgers, steaks and a veggie dish.
Desserts include sticky toffee pudding, and chocolate raspberry torte. There are also plenty of good quality wines, beers and spirits available as well as tea and coffee.
The pub serves a separate Sunday lunch menu which includes both a meat and vegetarian option, choose between one, two or three courses.
The Haywain hosts many events including special evenings in their hop room cinema, private dining in the milling room, and a space for private gatherings such as weddings and parties.
