Part of the Harbour Hotel, The Harbour Kitchen is a casual all-day restaurant which serves up light and seasonal dishes alongside a slice of stunning coastal views of the Padstow harbour. The dining room here makes the most of the view with floor to ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light, while touches of character come courtesy of scatter cushions upholstered in geometric patterns and a cluster of beachy portraits lining one wall.
On sunnier days, nab a table on the terrace to drink in those views, or order an actual drink from The Harbour Kitchen’s extensive selection - a seemingly never-ending mix of wines from around the world, sherries, house made cocktails and local craft beers by the bottle and on draught. In keeping with Cornish tradition, there is also a small selection of locally produced gins to sip on too.
The a la carte is a selection of modern European dishes which champions the use of locally sourced ingredients. You might begin your meal with the likes of soup of the day or buffalo mozzarella with figs, honeycomb, almonds and basil. For your main course, choose from dishes such as a Thai coconut fish curry or pork tenderloin in a cider sauce, served alongside celeriac and hazelnut butter. Round off your meal with The Harbour Kitchen’s tempting selection of desserts - think lemon meringue cheesecake or dark chocolate fondant with mint choc chip ice cream.
Away from the main menu, you will also find a dedicated children’s offering featuring the likes of mac ‘n’ cheese or fish and chips, while those looking to enjoy a spot of luxury can tuck into a traditional afternoon tea, paired with either gin or Champagne. On Sundays, head to The Harbour Kitchen for a three-course Sunday lunch, complete with classic roast dinners.
