The Fox & Goose Chelmsford

The Fox & Goose is a gastro pub in Chelmsford, which was opened in 2012, and has been delighting visitors to its Essex establishment for over 10 years.
For your meal, begin with starters of a soup of the day with bakehouse bread and salted butter, or a simple plate of breaded mozzarella with heritage tomato sauce and aioli. Other starters to choose from are the guinea fowl and chicken terrine with an apricot chutney and toasted bread, along with a lemongrass and chilli pork skewer with satay sauce and watercress. For those looking for a delicious meat free main option, try the glazed goats cheese with oyster mushroom ragu, made with pappardelle pasta and topped with a truffle dressing. There are also plenty of grill options, from steaks and beef burgers, to a harissa chicken thigh burger. Conclude your meal with a sweet treat, like the warm poached pear with a nut crumble and butterscotch sauce.
