London Pride drinkers can take their pick of two Fuller’s venues on the Wharf: the traditional Cat & Canary or the metrosexual Fine Line. Where the former has satellite sport & gaming machines, the latter has DJs, risottos & gerbera posies at every table. That said, the usual array of City-boy beers is dispensed at the large curved bar alongside the likes of Fuller’s Honeydew & American import Blue Moon for a bit of variety. So far so pubby, but the rest of the outfit is more brasserie-esque with its dark wood, red walls & leather banquettes. The menu plays it safe with a mix of pub standards & eclectic wine bar staples (anything from fish-finger sandwiches & burgers to crispy chilli beef salad or Moroccan vegetable stew with couscous). The vibe ramps up steadily as the evening progresses.
