The decor in this seventh branch of Charlie McVeigh’s craft-beer pub chain references a legendary dance hall and music venue which, until its 2012 demolition, stood next door. Original gig posters and photos adorn the spruced-up Victorian interior of the former Laurie Arms; there’s also a new conservatory and cobbled garden. London draughts come from Beavertown, Redchurch and Camden Town breweries, and ballast is provided by a hybrid mixture of British pub classics and a North American inspired menu of ribs, burgers and fries served in a multitude of ways.
