The Bok shop is a fried chicken restaurant in Brighton. It combines influences from Asia, the southern United States and London to offer its own take on the classic fried chicken menu. The result is a range of tasty and ethical dishes that retain a home cooked feel. Brighton is one of two locations - the other is in Hastings.
The food menu is varied and almost all dishes can be made vegan. Chicken is served as either wings or tenders and can be made into a meal by adding fries, slaw or green salad and a soft drink. As well the OG (coated in Bok’s signature herbs and spices mix), there’s also Goku (sweet and tangy Japanese style sauce and Super Saiyan sauce), nuttin’ but a ‘g’ thang (homemade satay sauce with crispy noodles and sriracha) and Dr. drizzle (a spiced Dr. Pepper sauce topped with mustard mayo). Those who like spice are also catered for, either by the Buffalo or bokadoosh (homemade fiery Koren style sauce).
The range of burgers mirrors the chicken options. Options include the classic (shredded iceberg lettuce, lemon pepper mayo, pickles), the piggie smalls (melted cheese, BBQ ham hock, pickles, and shredded iceberg lettuce) and the hot as cluck (fiery Korean style Bokadoosh sauce, asian slaw, pickled chilli and cucumber ribbons. Fries are the perfect complement to any burger or chicken, with Buffalo loaded fries and katsu fries on offer.
The Bok Shop is also available on Just Eat, Deliveroo, Uber Eats and for click and collect orders.
