As you might expect from the name, this stylish contemporary venue occupies the site of a former boatyard, and is now the flagship of a four-strong local group. The whole place looks mightily
impressive with its expanses of timber and glass, while terrific nautical views add to its pulling power. The so-called Main Deck is a casual all-day bar/eatery offering a full drinks list, sport
on the big screens and a crowd-pleasing menu of ‘quick bites’ (spicy chicken wings, hot prawn cocktail etc) plus salads, sharing boards and mains such as fish and chips. The Upper Deck restaurant
offers a tad more ambition in the shape of scallop and chorizo salad, beef carpaccio, baked whole bream with fennel and orange butter, rotisserie chicken and steaks from the Josper grill. Good
deals for kids and senior citizens too.
