Dating back to 1739, this long-standing pub is now part of The Palomar stable just two doors down, with a pub, cocktail lounge and an intimate restaurant. The ground floor features a high-ceilinged pub, while the beer cellar houses Evelyn’s Table, a single kitchen counter for just 15 diners. Guests book in advance and food is prepared and passed from the range straight to diners.
Head upstairs for The Mulwray, a richly decorated cocktail lounge, decked out in dark velvets, marble and soft-pink furnishings. While there, you can enjoy wines, ales, beers and spirits from independent producers, while the kitchen team have created a daily-changing menu for Evelyn’s table, as well as a bar menu for the ground and first floor.
