Didn't you hear? Farmsteads are well and truly in, and if you're based in Buckinghamshire or perhaps visiting for the weekend, you'll want to try The Barn at Oxmoor Farm. Since opening in 2022, this stylish complex has become known for its Wild Feast events but now, there's a permanent in-house restaurant to enjoy, too. The Barn at Oxmoor Farm has everything you could want, from serving breakfast and coffee on weekend mornings, to Neapolitan-style pizzas, small plates and organic wines come evening. 

The menu is inspired by sustainability, fresh ingredients and local producers - the team boast that they know theirs by name. Dishes change with the seasons and always reflect what's at its prime, right now. Over the weekend, the breakfast menu wows with brunch-style cocktails like an Orchard Fizz or Bloody Mary, alongsdie speciality coffee and Oxmoor Farm's apple juice. As for food, we like the sound of the mushroom roll with chimichurri, speen sausages and beans, and porridge bread. 

When it comes to the main menu, you might fancy starting with some small plates such as coal-roasted squash with garlic, yogurt and sage, alongside ham, pickles and focaccia. Large plates are a bit like chef specials, only offering one or two at a time - for example, the confit pork cheek with celeriac puree - while freshly-made pizzas are always in. Toppings wise, think pumpkin, mushroom and kale pesto, alongside hogget, slow-roasted tomato and rosemary. The evening wouldn't be complete without pudding and we like the sound of the apple crumble with bay leaf custard, for an earthy taste that suits the setting. 

The aesthetic is stylish as they come with rustic details the match the barn's structure, but plenty of on-trend touches. Wooden furniture and natural materials sit next to a moody colour palette for a look that'll suit any kind of occasion.

Holly Middleton-Joseph, Head Chef and Co-Founder of Hausu, brings together an Italian cooking approach with bold flavours from her Trinidadian and Chinese heritage. 


Holly has worked in kitchens across South East Asia and the UK such as Mountain and The Waterman’s Arms, where she was part of the opening team. She opened Hausu in Peckham in 2023, presenting a menu that reflects a life lived through food: rooted in quality ingredients cooked over fire and inspired by her heritage. 


In February, Holly was named a Rising Star in the the 2026 National Restaurant Awards, highlighting Hausu as an emerging force in the London dining scene.

You'll learn how to make and maintain your starter, why sourdough is worth eating and all the not too daunting science, the role of each ingredient, and how to make your levain and dough including stretch and folding, shaping, proving and baking.


You'll leave the workshop with a set of clear notes and recipes, a sourdough starter, two loaves to bake at home and the confidence to continue your journey of sourdough baking. 


The workshop includes tea and coffee on arrival alongside a two-course meal of small plates and Neapolitan-style pizzas. Each workshop is limited to 8 attendees to ensure that you get individual attention in a relaxed environment.

Exploring the dialogue between food, fire, and the Scottish landscape, chef Will Rhys Hamer creates experiences rooted in nature. 


Will has cooked in kitchens across the UK, New Zealand, Switzerland and France. When his open-fire supper clubs gained notice, he was invited to stage at Hiša Franko, a two-Michelin starred restaurant in Slovenia.  


After three months at Hiša Franko and another learning experience at Simon Rogan’s L’Enclume in the Lake District, he co-founded Wild Kabn Kitchen, building renowned open-fire experiences on Loch Fyne.
