The Bakers Arms

we were served by a smiling Sarah who remembered who ordered which meal and  made sure we wanted for nothing.  Gave us enough time to finish our main course so we were able to enjoy our sweets.

My preference for seating meant I could hear as I had a wall behind me and my hearing aids did not pick up everyone's conversation.

We are regular customers at The Bakers Arms. It is very conveniently located and the food is good and reasonably priced these days. We have six, albeit small, dogs and we always sit in the dog friendly area. We are always made to feel welcome which is why we come back probably once a month at least.

What spoilt my visit to the pub was there were two cars and one van parked in disabled bays not showing a blue badge which meant as a diabled person blue badge holder using a 3 wheel walker i had to park next to the electric car charging station as it was the nearest empty space. Would the management have found the owners of those vehicles and told them to move them?

The friend who came with me looked at the vehicles for me to find out if the badge was displayed..

I had the roast beef dinner, veg was lovely, gravy tasty but the beef was just all grissle,  The tiny mouthful I could find was lovely.  Really you shouldn't be allowed to serve meat like that for what you charge

i can honestly say that the food is wonderful and not mass produced as other so called "restaurants" are. We thoroughly enjoyed it, the flavours were incredible and we would definitely recommend it. I will point out that it isn't any dearer than one of the chain restaurants!

We love it here.  Great atmosphere, great service, lovely food and good choice of drinks, dog-friendly section.  Would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to go and return to.

A quiz  took place that was broadcast through the establishment. This was intrusive. It would have been better restricted to a limited area of the restaurant.

Desserts expensive so poorer value than main courses.

Service could have been a bit friendlier.
