Talland Bay Hotel can be found on the Cornish coast, offering visitors a comforting retreat amongst the unforgettable coastal landscape. The sea views and Cornish countryside are what surrounds the hotel, offering unparalleled beauty, and a design that blends character with modernity. The team at Talland Bay Hotel truly believe that good quality produce is what makes for good quality food, and so you'll always be served dishes that are made using the finest local ingredients. The menus are designed seasonally by head chef Glen Merriot and his talented team, and are inspired by the beauty that Cornwall has.
For lunch, share some homemade bread with whipped butter around the table, before tucking into starters. You'll have choices of John Dory with chicory, cauliflower, golden raisins and macadamia dressing, along with ham hock paired with crispy quails egg, pickled onion, piccalilli and a pea and ham veloute. Other starters include the luxury seafood cocktail with shellfish, Marie Rose and baby gem, and the Isle of Wight tomato salad with grilled peach, balsamic, peach gazpacho and burrata.
You'll be spoilt for choice with your mains, which include the indulgent fillet of beef with heritage beetroot, turnip, beef cheek and sauce bordelaise, and the plaice on the bone with grenobloise butter, new potatoes and seasonal greens. Other mains include the mushroom ravioli with a lemon and ricotta sauce, spring vegetables and parmesan, and local fish and chips with curried tartar, triple cooked chips and crushed peas. There are plenty of wonderful desserts on the menu, including the Talland Bay sphere with lemon honey and lavender mousse, honeycomb, apricot and lemon sherbet, and the raspberry cheesecake which has a tonka bean meringue and raspberry pavlova ice cream.
