The City of London has quite a few activity bars, ideal for fun-filled post-work drinks. We would argue, however, that Swingers City could be the funnest of all. This crazy golf bar fires on all cylinders, boasting two courses, five cocktail bars, four street food vendors, five private hire spaces and free wifi. What more could you want? The first course, The Lighthouse, features slopes, holes and tunnels galore, while The Windmill is a more obstacle-filled affair. Both are brilliant fun and sufficiently challenging for all skill levels.
To wet your whistle, try one of the exciting cocktails like the George of the jungle, a tropical mix of Casamigos Blanco, banana liqueur, pineapple juice, lime juice and tonka bean. Head to the Gin Terrace, however, and you can sip on the likes of the ‘fairway to heaven’, Chase pink grapefruit gin, apricot brandy, Earl Grey syrup, lemon juice and mint leaves. Elsewhere, there are classics, frozen and alcohol-free options and shots too. If cocktails aren’t your thing, there are plenty of beers, ciders, wine and bubbly to try too.
When it comes to food here, you’ll be well and truly spoiled for choice. From Pizza Pilgrims, you can sample delicious pizzas like the double pepperoni with spicy honey, chestnut mushroom and truffle or burrata and pesto. If you prefer bread on both sides, there are brilliant burgers from Patty&Bun, like the classic Ari gold, spicier chilli chilli bang bang or veggie portobello mushroom burger. Lovers of Mexican food, meanwhile, can enjoy tacos, burritos and nachos from Breddos too. To finish, Crosstown doughnuts supply the sweet stuff, including gelato (such as dark chocolate and sea salt, peanut butter and blackcurrant or even cookie dough), caramel truffles and, of course, doughnuts.
