Smith & Whistle is the bar at the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane hotel in Mayfair, located just moments away from Green Park station. This elegant, retro-styled bar mixes up all manner of classic cocktails, as well as serving some of the best award-winning beers from around Britain, all backed up by hearty pub grub and bar snacks.
Inside, Smith & Whistle’s copper-toned walls and herringbone parquet flooring give the bar a slick, modern feel. There are lots of low bar tables and leather armchairs to slump into, or you can grab a seat at the bar. The bar also has outside seating on the pavement terrace, where you can sit with a drink and watch the world go by on the edge of Green Park.
As well as classic cocktails, Smith & Whistle’s mixologists can whip up all sorts of house mixes for you as well, including drinks like The Pink Panther 2.0 (Sauvelle Vodka, Aperol, goji berry liqueur, summer berry oleo and foamer) and the Royal Encore (Martell VSOP, saffron, amaretto and Champagne). There are mocktails too for non-drinkers.
Meanwhile, the food menu includes easy-going nibbles as well as some hearty pub grub. Get stuck into fish and chips with mushy peas, a classic smoked bacon and cheeseburger, or a lobster roll with avocado and radish. There’s a whole section of loaded fries, including steak and padron peppers, fish and chips and katsu popcorn chicken. Not to mention some indulgent desserts, like a dark chocolate and passion fruit mousse.
The bar often shows sporting occasions too, and is proudly dog friendly, so you can bring your pooch with you. There’s even a selection of ‘dogtails’, including a Poochie Colada!
