If you love a good drink, you might already be familiar with Simmons Bars – there are currently 25 across London, with the first established back in 2013, making it safe to say that Simmons are experts in the party bar business. Founded with the intention of creating ‘fun and relaxed bars that deliver good products without costing the world’ Simmons is the ideal spot in the heart of Holborn (just minutes away from Holborn and Covent Garden station) for a night out with friends, after-work drinks, or a fun date night. With plenty of seats – the bar has a capacity of up to 400 – stretching over two floors, there’s loads of space for you and your pals to comfortably sit (or dance?) all night long.
Simmons’ interior is an explosion of glitz and fun. A huge disco ball shaped booth allows the bar’s resident DJ to provide the soundtrack for the night – usually jumping from disco to 80’s to hip-hop, and bright neon signs adorn the walls and ceiling (ideal to snap a quick Instagram pic with).
Turning to the piece de resistance – the drinks menu. There are some great drinks up for grabs: your classic margaritas, martinis, and pina coladas, as well as some incredible sharers – our favourites are the Par-Tea-Pot for 3-4 people, and the Long Island Iced Tea Kettle, a colossal sharer meant for 6-8 people (but we won’t tell if you take more than your fair share...).
Happy hour at Simmons is a whopping five hours long, stretching from 4pm-9pm, and sees cracking deals like 2 cocktails for £10, spirit and mixers for as cheap as £2.50, and bottles of wine for £12 on offer. Just so you know, not all drinks are included in the happy hour deal so make sure you check with your bartender!
