Ship Inn - Weymouth

Dog hell. For the majority of our meal a badly behaved dog at a nearby table yapped, barked and growled. It could be heard through the whole dining area. Completely ruined what would have been a lovely meal. After 45mins of putting up with it (the noise was so loud it stopped conversation) we politely told the waitress the dog's noise was disturbing us and most likely everyone else. No apology whatsoever. Told us it's a dog friendly pub, no difference between a dog and a child making noise (in front of our two children who had sat quietly through the whole meal) and that the dog took precedence over paying customers. After that we were completely ignored. Not offered anymore drinks, no desert, nothing. Such a shame as could have been such a lovely meal/experience. Rude staff. Stay away!
