Quy Mill Hotel & Spa was once a historic watermill, but now, is a secluded haven that offers guests somewhere wonderful to dine, relax and stay in Cambridge. The restaurant holds two AA Rosettes and has a kitchen team that is exceptionally skilled, and packs plenty of passion and experience. If you're looking for simple yet delicious food, made with good quality, locally sourced ingredients and in a creative fashion, Quy Mill Hotel & Spa is well worth a visit.
Begin your fantastic meal with a delicious starter. Perhaps the roasted asparagus and serrano ham roulade with Nori seaweed and Thai basil infused liquid burrata, or the duck leg with charcoal battered king prawns, pickled red onion petals, carrot gel and jus. When it's time for your main, we love the sound of the oven roasted carrots with harissa, crispy chickpeas, sumac vegan style yoghurt and imam bayildi for a veggie delight, and the tuna tataki with courgette carpaccio, coconut, sesame, lemon and lime zest and soy sauce reduction for a refreshing twist.
There are, of course, several wonderful steaks from the grill, each with a roasted tomato, baby leaf salad and triple cooked chips, with the option to add peppercorn sauce, red wine jus or garlic butter. Sides sound lip smacking, too, including the truffle triple cooked chips, baby leaf salad and honey glazed chantenay carrots. There are several delicious sounding desserts, including a panna cotta with caramelised white chocolate, honeycomb chunks and passion fruit foam, the matcha tiramisu with classic savoiardi, matcha tea and chantilly cream. The rhubarb baked alaska is a wonderful take on a classic, and is made with vanilla ice cream, Italian meringue and spiced rhubarb consommé.
