With a kitchen headed up by Italian-born Marco Quarta, Provisioners dishes out authentic Italian fare to hungry Londoners. Just a short walk from London Bridge and the river, this cafe is open for breakfast, brunch and dinner. You can even enjoy a pancake, pizza and prosecco bottomless brunch! The space has a chic, modern feel, with pink accents, art deco lighting and plenty of plants dotted around.
While away the mornings at Provisioners over Shakedown coffees and tuck into scrambled eggs, a full English or eggs Benedict. For something a little spicier, try the shakshuka, which comes topped with poached eggs and a helping of sourdough toast for dipping. As breakfast turns to brunch, the menu becomes a little heartier. As such, you’ll find the various breakfast options joined by the likes of heritage tomato bruschetta, flatbreads or a ricotta and avocado pizza topped with a fried egg. Brunch cocktails like bloody Marys and mimosas are on hand too.
In the evenings, you can enjoy a full three-course Italian feast. Snack on rustic bar food like Sicilian olives, charcuterie and cheese to start, while perhaps trying one of the signature cocktails. These include the ‘evidence’, which blends gold and silver tequila, grapefruit juice, agave syrup, lychee and pink soda. Classic cocktails such as espresso martinis are also available, as well as individual spirits, beers and cider. There is a short list of primarily Italian wines, with a couple of French bottles thrown in for good measure. Purists can choose between a wild boar ragu with pappardelle or scialatelli carbonara, while seafood lovers shouldn’t miss the spaghetti vongole with bottarga.
Non-pasta options include a showstopping wagyu burger with gorgonzola, truffle mayo and chips, as well as a spatchcocked poussin and grilled ribeye steak with garlic butter. Finish with a classic tiramisu, affogato or indulge with some Nutella donuts with vanilla ice cream.
