Popsi’s is an award-winning pizza restaurant in Southampton known for top quality authentic pizzas, as well as a wide range of vegan pizzas made with in-house ingredients. You’ll find Popsi’s on Bedford Place, where they sling out fresh pizzas for eat-in and takeaway customers.
The interior of Popsi's is rustic and easy-going, with warm lighting, painted wood-panelling, wooden tables and chairs. The restaurant also has an outdoor terrace with picnic benches, which is a perfect spot to enjoy a pizza and a beer in the warmer summer months.
Popsi’s is dedicated to the simplicity of pizza - Popsi’s pizza dough is made using just flour (or more precisely, a special blend of flours), water, salt and yeast, before being topped with the best ingredients possible and blasted in a traditional stone pizza oven. Pizza sauce is made from scratch and ingredients like fior di latte mozzarella are imported direct from Italy.
Toppings range from classics like pepperoni, Margherita and diavola, to house specialities like the ‘Truffle Shuffle’ (tomato, garlic, mozzarella, mushroom, Cheddar and white truffle oil) and the ‘Great Goatsby’ (tomato, mozzarella, fresh basil, goat’s cheese, red onion and balsamic glaze).
Popsi’s also offers a range of vegan pizzas, and the team makes all its own vegan meats in house. There’s no extra charge to swap from regular to vegan cheese on your pizza, and Popsi’s vegan pizzas are extremely popular, with examples including the Vegan Pepperoni (tomato, vegan mozzarella, green pepper, mushroom, red onion, vegan pepperoni) and Vegan Forest (tomato, vegan cheese, basil, mushroom, black olive, smoked vegan ham).
Popsi’s is also on point with it’s sustainability credentials as well - the low smoke emission oven is powered using renewable energy, and the restaurant uses recycled materials for its pizza boxes too. If you’re not visiting the restaurant, you can order via Just Eat, Uber Eats or Deliveroo.
