Tops for value
Locals' choice as top of the list of the plethora of fish/fish and chips restaurants in Brixham. My wife's ultimate favourite, lobster, is not uncommon in restaurants here and sure enough it was on the menu at the Poopdeck, so we climbed the stairs from the discreet entrance on the busy harbour to the unassuming first-floor dining room and, despite our booking at 0DE for that evening, we proceeded to spoil ourselves with a remarkably good value-for-money lunch of a whole large lobster, chips and salad, and a whole brill, new potatoes and salad. It was tempting to make it into a three-course fish binge, but our other appointment needed us to be in good condition, so we resisted and settled up, the bill coming to a remarkably reasonable total.
