Pivaz, which translates to onion, invites you to peel back the layers of flavour and ambiance... hopefully leading to happy tears! The restaurant is nestled in the heart of Chatsworth Road, offering an oasis of Turkish cuisine in the Lower Clapton area of Hackney.
There is a distinctive love for food and drink within the walls of this restaurant. The chefs, hailing from Turkey themselves, place great emphasis on their craft, having 15+ years of experience working in the industry in London. Away from the kitchen and on the floor, the staff aim to provide true Turkish hospitality, so that you have a great experience seperate from the good-quality food. It's for sure that this sense of celebration around the food on offer is sure to contribute to an overall great energy for a casual gathering with friends.
The menu at Pizaz boasts fresh ingredients and flavours that are authentically spiced and blended into traditional recipes. There are a huge range of dishes on offer, including vegetarian and vegan options. Of course, in true Turkish fashion, Pizaz is great for those meals when you want to try a little bit of everything. Mixed cold or hot Meze platters, wraps and succulent meat grills adorn the menu. The brunch menu is available until 4pm, which serves a range of different breakfasts. Standing out is the shakshuka, a Mediterranean classic, comprising of two eggs baked in spiced onion, aubergine and fresh garlic tomato sauce, served with bread and yoghurt. If you're looking for something sweeter, there is a long list of pancakes but more importantly is the homemade baklava served with vanilla ice cream.
It's not just the food that's good here at Pizaz, but the design as well. The eclectic interior design is divided into several discreet seating areas, so you can enjoy a private table, a seat in the main restaurant or sink in to the plush banquette tucked into the curtained corner of this restaurant.
